Leader to Approve Ahmadinejad's Presidency Monday

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is slated to approve the presidency of president-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday. 
 

Top Iranian authorities, army officials and a number of foreign guests are scheduled to attend the ceremony in Imam Khomeini Hosseinieh (a mosque-like religious center) here in Tehran tomorrow.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was reelected on June 12 after winning an overwhelming majority of the votes.

He will be sworn in as the new president in a parliament session on August 5.
