Leader Stresses Vital Role of Cultural Elites in Soft Warfare

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Saturday evening highlighted the significant role of poets, artists and cultural scholars in soft warfare. 
 
  
 "In the soft warfare, the mission of the cultural establishment is to bring forward the art in a full-fledged and proper form so that it could be effective," Ayatollah Khamenei told a number of scholars and poets on the auspicious birthday anniversary of the second infallible Imam of Shiite Muslims, Imam Hassan ( PBUH).

The Leader also termed soft warfare as a reality of the current time.

Ayatollah Khamenei further told the audience that revolutionary poetry should be at the service of Islamic revolution's ideals and concepts such as justice, morality and real independence, including cultural independence and reviving Iranian and Islamic identity.

Referring to the post-election events, the Supreme Leader underlined that artists and cultural people have a heavy responsibility to explain truth and reality.
